We lay new tarmac driveways in Feltham, resurface tired drives and carry out tarmac driveway repair work, with the sub-base, falls and edging done properly so the surface lasts.
Feltham's mix of 1930s semis, post-war estates and newer townhouses means driveways range from short frontages to wide shared runs. Our team lays tarmac driveways in Feltham across TW13 and TW14, including Hanworth, Lower Feltham, North Feltham and the roads around Feltham Green and Hanworth Park. As experienced tarmac driveway installers, we handle everything from a new asphalt drive with block-paved borders to tarmac driveway repair on surfaces broken up by tree roots and years of daily use.
Feltham sits on Thames terrace gravels over London clay, so drainage is usually reasonable but varies from street to street. We build each drive on a compacted Type 1 sub-base with hot-laid asphalt, set falls towards borders or channel drains, and can use porous asphalt to meet front garden rules. Every job is fully insured and guaranteed, and we are members of the FMB, TrustMark and the Guild of Master Craftsmen.
Most of our driveway work comes from recommendations. Here is what customers say about us.

Full dig-out, compacted sub-base, binder and surface course, machine laid and rolled to a smooth, even finish.
A sound but tired drive can be cleaned, regulated and overlaid with fresh tarmac at a lower cost than a rebuild.
Potholes, cracks, sunken areas and failed edges cut out and reinstated so the repair is sealed and level.
Contrasting block or kerb borders that hold the edges and give a tarmac drive a smart, finished look.
Red or green tarmac for drives, paths and private roads where you want something different from black.
Channel drains, soakaways and porous asphalt to keep water off the road and within the planning rules.
Is your drive worth resurfacing or rebuilding?

Fresh hot-mix asphalt from local plants, laid at the right temperature and to the right thickness.
Excavators, pavers and vibrating rollers for a dense, smooth surface that sheds water properly.

Want a smooth, sealed drive?
Call 020 8226 5062Feltham driveway costs come down to the size of the frontage, whether an existing lawn, concrete or crazy paving must be dug out, and how much sub-base the ground needs. Adding block-paved borders, coloured tarmac, channel drains or porous asphalt changes the specification, and wider shared drives on estate roads take more material and labour. Access on busy roads can also affect timing. Every quote is fixed and written after a free survey. Call us on 020 8226 5062 to book a visit.

Small defects in tarmac grow quickly once water gets in. These are the signs it is time to call us.
Hairline cracks let water into the base, where frost widens them every winter.
Loose, missing patches that will keep growing and can damage tyres and trip visitors.
Low areas and ruts point to a weak or washed-out sub-base under the surface.
Puddles that sit for hours mean the falls or drainage need correcting.
Growth along edges and cracks shows the surface is opening up and losing its seal.
Oxidised, crumbly tarmac that sheds grit is near the end of its life and may need resurfacing.

Book a free surveyMany Feltham homes are 1930s semis or former council houses with frontages that were originally lawn, so turning them into parking means a full dig-out and often a new dropped kerb from Hounslow Council. The council assesses visibility, street trees, lamp columns and the depth of the frontage before approving a crossover, so it pays to apply early. Front gardens over 5 m² need a permeable surface or drainage to a planted area. Ground is generally gravel over clay, but areas near the River Crane and the Longford River can be wetter. Busy routes such as Hanworth Road and the Great South West Road also shape when skips and asphalt deliveries can arrive.
We also cover these nearby areas with the same team and the same guarantees.
From survey to the final roll, this is how we build a tarmac drive that lasts.
We check the existing surface, levels, drainage and access, and talk through borders and layout.
An itemised quote with dig-out, sub-base, tarmac courses, edging and a start date.
The old surface comes out, and kerbs or block borders are set to the finished levels.
Crushed stone sub-base is laid and compacted, with channel drains or soakaways where needed.
Hot tarmac is laid in two courses and rolled while hot for a dense, smooth finish.
Edges are sealed, the site is cleared, and we tell you when you can drive on it.

Straight answers to the questions Feltham customers ask us most. If yours is not here, call us.
Standard tarmac is impermeable, so a new front driveway over 5 square metres needs planning permission unless rainwater drains to a lawn, border or soakaway on your property, or you use porous asphalt. We design drainage to keep you within the rules.
Apply to Hounslow Council, which is the highway authority for Feltham. It checks the frontage depth, visibility, nearby street trees, lamp columns and any parking bays before approving a vehicle crossover, and the kerb work itself is carried out to the council's specification. We can measure your frontage, advise whether a car fits without overhanging the footway and build the driveway so it lines up neatly with the new crossover.
If the existing surface is sound and well supported, an overlay is a cost-effective option. If it is sinking, cracked through or badly drained, we recommend a full dig-out and a new sub-base.
A well-built tarmac drive on a proper sub-base should last many years. Keeping edges sealed and repairing cracks early makes a big difference.
You can usually walk on it the same day and drive on it after a day or so. Avoid sharp turns on the spot and parking in the same position for the first few weeks.
Tarmac is usually quicker to lay and better value per square metre, with a smooth, seamless finish. Block paving costs more but offers more patterns and colours. Many customers combine the two with a tarmac drive and block-paved borders.
Yes. We cut out failed areas, prepare the base and reinstate with fresh tarmac, sealing the joints so water cannot get back in.
