Accredited, insured and guaranteed
We lay new tarmac driveways in Slough, resurface tired drives and carry out tarmac driveway repair work, with the sub-base, falls and edging done properly so the surface lasts.
Slough has a wide spread of homes, from Victorian terraces in Upton Park and Chalvey to the post-war estates of Britwell and Wexham and the newer streets of Langley and Cippenham. We lay tarmac driveways in Slough across SL1, SL2 and SL3, turning front gardens into durable parking for busy households. Our tarmac driveway installers handle new asphalt drives, resurfacing over sound bases and tarmac driveway repair on surfaces broken by roots, utility works or general wear.
Slough sits on gravels and brickearth over London clay, so drainage varies across the town and we check ground conditions before setting sub-base depth. Each drive gets a compacted Type 1 base, hot-laid asphalt and block-paved or kerb edging, with porous asphalt or channel drains where needed. We are fully insured, every job is guaranteed, and we are FMB, TrustMark and VUBA members.
Most of our driveway work comes from recommendations. Here is what customers say about us.

Full dig-out, compacted sub-base, binder and surface course, machine laid and rolled to a smooth, even finish.
A sound but tired drive can be cleaned, regulated and overlaid with fresh tarmac at a lower cost than a rebuild.
Potholes, cracks, sunken areas and failed edges cut out and reinstated so the repair is sealed and level.
Contrasting block or kerb borders that hold the edges and give a tarmac drive a smart, finished look.
Red or green tarmac for drives, paths and private roads where you want something different from black.
Channel drains, soakaways and porous asphalt to keep water off the road and within the planning rules.
Is your drive worth resurfacing or rebuilding?
Get an honest answerTarmac is only as good as the base underneath it and the way it is laid. This is what you get with our team.

Fresh hot-mix asphalt from local plants, laid at the right temperature and to the right thickness.

Call 01753 331248Slough driveway prices depend on the frontage area, how much old concrete, slabs or lawn must be removed, and the sub-base suited to the local gravel and clay. Drainage choices, from porous asphalt to channel drains, change the specification, as do block-paved borders and coloured tarmac. Narrow terraced streets and busy main roads can affect access. Small defects in tarmac grow quickly once water gets in. These are the signs it is time to call us.
Hairline cracks let water into the base, where frost widens them every winter.
Loose, missing patches that will keep growing and can damage tyres and trip visitors.
Low areas and ruts point to a weak or washed-out sub-base under the surface.
Puddles that sit for hours mean the falls or drainage need correcting.
Growth along edges and cracks shows the surface is opening up and losing its seal.
Oxidised, crumbly tarmac that sheds grit is near the end of its life and may need resurfacing.

Book a free surveySlough Borough Council is both planning authority and highway authority, so dropped kerb applications and any planning questions go to the same council. Many terraces in Chalvey and Upton have shallow frontages, so we check that a car fits fully within the boundary before quoting. Post-war estates such as Britwell and Wexham often have wider plots but older concrete drives that need breaking out. Front gardens over 5 m² need permeable surfacing or drainage to a soft area, which matters on streets where surface water already collects. Busy routes such as the A4 Bath Road and Wexham Road affect skip placement and delivery times. Shared drives on newer Langley developments may also need neighbours' agreement.
We also cover these nearby areas with the same team and the same guarantees.
From survey to the final roll, this is how we build a tarmac drive that lasts.
We check the existing surface, levels, drainage and access, and talk through borders and layout.
An itemised quote with dig-out, sub-base, tarmac courses, edging and a start date.
The old surface comes out, and kerbs or block borders are set to the finished levels.
Crushed stone sub-base is laid and compacted, with channel drains or soakaways where needed.
Hot tarmac is laid in two courses and rolled while hot for a dense, smooth finish.
Edges are sealed, the site is cleared, and we tell you when you can drive on it.

Straight answers to the questions Slough customers ask us most. If yours is not here, call us.
Standard tarmac is impermeable, so a new front driveway over 5 square metres needs planning permission unless rainwater drains to a lawn, border or soakaway on your property, or you use porous asphalt. We design drainage to keep you within the rules.
Apply to Slough Borough Council, which is the highway authority for the town. It checks that your frontage is deep enough for a car, that visibility is safe and that no street tree or parking bay is affected, then the crossover is built to its specification. We measure your frontage during the free survey, advise on the likely outcome and build the drive to line up with the approved kerb.
If the existing surface is sound and well supported, an overlay is a cost-effective option. If it is sinking, cracked through or badly drained, we recommend a full dig-out and a new sub-base.
A well-built tarmac drive on a proper sub-base should last many years. Keeping edges sealed and repairing cracks early makes a big difference.
You can usually walk on it the same day and drive on it after a day or so. Avoid sharp turns on the spot and parking in the same position for the first few weeks.
Tarmac is usually quicker to lay and better value per square metre, with a smooth, seamless finish. Block paving costs more but offers more patterns and colours. Many customers combine the two with a tarmac drive and block-paved borders.
Yes. We cut out failed areas, prepare the base and reinstate with fresh tarmac, sealing the joints so water cannot get back in.
