Accredited, insured and guaranteed
We lay new tarmac driveways in Hayes, resurface tired drives and carry out tarmac driveway repair work, with the sub-base, falls and edging done properly so the surface lasts.
Busy Hayes households need driveways that handle daily coming and going, whether on the 1930s streets around Barra Hall Park or the post-war roads of Yeading and Hayes End. We install tarmac driveways in Hayes across UB3 and UB4, from Botwell and Hayes Town to Harlington. Our tarmac driveway installers lay new asphalt drives, overlay sound existing surfaces and carry out tarmac driveway repair, giving tired frontages a clean, durable finish that copes with family cars and vans.
Hayes ground varies from Thames gravels in the south to heavier clay towards Yeading, so we check the formation before setting sub-base depth. Each drive gets a compacted Type 1 base, hot-laid binder and surface courses, and tidy block-paved or kerb edging. We are fully insured, all work is guaranteed, and we hold FMB, Guild of Master Craftsmen, TrustMark and VUBA memberships.
Most of our driveway work comes from recommendations. Here is what customers say about us.

Want a smooth, sealed drive?
Call 020 8226 5062For Hayes driveways, cost depends on the frontage area, whether walls, concrete or lawn need removing, and the sub-base depth the local gravel or clay requires. Drainage choices such as porous asphalt or a channel drain to a soakaway affect the specification, as do block-paved borders and coloured tarmac. Shared drives and busy main roads can also influence access. Every quote is fixed and written after a free survey. Call us on 020 8226 5062 to book yours.

Small defects in tarmac grow quickly once water gets in. These are the signs it is time to call us.
Hairline cracks let water into the base, where frost widens them every winter.
Loose, missing patches that will keep growing and can damage tyres and trip visitors.
Low areas and ruts point to a weak or washed-out sub-base under the surface.
Puddles that sit for hours mean the falls or drainage need correcting.
Growth along edges and cracks shows the surface is opening up and losing its seal.
Oxidised, crumbly tarmac that sheds grit is near the end of its life and may need resurfacing.

Book a free surveyHayes has a high proportion of 1930s semis, former council homes and short terraces where front gardens were never designed for parking. Turning one into a driveway usually means removing a wall, digging out soil and applying to Hillingdon Council for a vehicle crossover, which it assesses on frontage depth, visibility and street trees. Front gardens over 5 m² need permeable surfacing or drainage to a soft area within the boundary. The Grand Union Canal and Yeading Brook mean some ground is wetter, while heavy traffic on Uxbridge Road and Station Road affects delivery timing. Newer flats and houses near the Elizabeth line station also bring shared driveways with their own management rules.
We also cover these nearby areas with the same team and the same guarantees.
From survey to the final roll, this is how we build a tarmac drive that lasts.
We check the existing surface, levels, drainage and access, and talk through borders and layout.

Crushed stone sub-base is laid and compacted, with channel drains or soakaways where needed.
Hot tarmac is laid in two courses and rolled while hot for a dense, smooth finish.
Edges are sealed, the site is cleared, and we tell you when you can drive on it.

Straight answers to the questions Hayes customers ask us most. If yours is not here, call us.
Standard tarmac is impermeable, so a new front driveway over 5 square metres needs planning permission unless rainwater drains to a lawn, border or soakaway on your property, or you use porous asphalt. We design drainage to keep you within the rules.
Yes, but you need the agreement of everyone with rights over it. On Hayes estates and newer developments near the station, shared drives may belong to neighbours jointly or to a management company. We can quote for the whole surface so costs are split fairly, and lay the tarmac in one visit for a consistent finish. If the drive meets the road, any change to the dropped kerb goes to Hillingdon Council.
If the existing surface is sound and well supported, an overlay is a cost-effective option. If it is sinking, cracked through or badly drained, we recommend a full dig-out and a new sub-base.
A well-built tarmac drive on a proper sub-base should last many years. Keeping edges sealed and repairing cracks early makes a big difference.
You can usually walk on it the same day and drive on it after a day or so. Avoid sharp turns on the spot and parking in the same position for the first few weeks.
Tarmac is usually quicker to lay and better value per square metre, with a smooth, seamless finish. Block paving costs more but offers more patterns and colours. Many customers combine the two with a tarmac drive and block-paved borders.
Yes. We cut out failed areas, prepare the base and reinstate with fresh tarmac, sealing the joints so water cannot get back in.
